It’s important to understand that the Supreme Court didn’t end a constitutional right to abortion with the Dobbs decision — a “right” to abortion never has been present in the US Constitution.

We’re still a very long way from where we were when this nation was founded, but today we’re closer to that place than we’ve been in many years.

Our Founders recognized that both that 1) God is the author of life and that 2) government has a duty to protect it. That includes state governments as well as the federal government.

The Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs means God has given us both a rich blessing and a strategic opportunity. While many people rejoice today, many others are angry; they need to come to understand that the way of life is the way of true freedom and liberty. Also, it is the way of respecting and honoring God.

It is no accident that our Founders mentioned life first in the list of unalienable rights they named in the Declaration of Independence. Without life, no one has any rights at all.

The work to protect life from conception to natural death continues. May God bless our efforts and make them fruitful…

…and may He bring a spiritual awakening to America!
