Of the unanimous ruling against Barronelle Stutzman and religious liberty in Washington State on Thursday, February 16, Dr. Michael Brown wrote, “There is only one thing more appalling than the Washington Supreme Court’s 9-0 ruling against religious liberty today. It is the silence of Christian leaders across America….” Why are so many Christian leaders and Christians reluctant to speak out in support of Barronelle? And why in the world would leftist activists seek to crush a 72-year-old grandmother who exhibits love, grace, and kindness to all people, even those with whom she strongly disagrees? We explore these questions in this post, and we discover that, as our title asserts, the reason the left is obsessed with destroying Barronelle is the same reason Christians must stand with her.
