Today, June 6, 2022, is the 78th anniversary of D-Day.

On the 75th anniversary of D-day in 2019, CBS News aired these two reports.

One of my favorite radio broadcasts from D-day is this one from NBC. It’s titled Cross Country Reaction to D-Day.
It aired 9:00 p.m. Eastern War Time (DST) on June 6, 1944 and highlighted the responses of communities throughout the nation to the invasion of Normandy.
It could be subtitled “A Nation at Prayer.”
The program is summarized on this page.
You can download the MP3 file of this program here.
It’s also available from this page (program #178).
