From the great state of California today, the hospitals are in trouble. They fired a bunch of really good unvaccinated staff, and some of the staff they didn’t fire have COVID. Now they don’t have enough workers. This completely unforeseeable situation has them in a bit of a predicament.
Anyway, they have a fix.
They are going to welcome back to the hospitals the workers….(wait for it)… who have COVID. As long as you don’t have symptoms, having COVID is A-okay at California hospitals. But only because they’re desperate, (but not desperate enough to allow healthy unvaccinated doctors and nurses.)
To recap:
Unvaccinated workers who DON’T HAVE THE VIRUS: not allowed
Vaccinated workers who ACTUALLY HAVE COVID-19: allowed.
If this seems like a good idea to you, if this feels like “experts doing science,” you need to know something – you are in a cult.
But there is hope.

The COVID Cult – Part 2
I have a beautiful tale to tell, sure to bring tears to your eyes. First, a reminder of where we last left off:
The Cult of COVID requires two behaviors of its members:

- Maximal cruelty toward those outside the cult.

I wrote a few days ago about California hospitals firing healthy doctors who hadn’t accepted the vaxx, but welcoming in sick doctors who had.
Up in Washington State, cult leaders quickly grew jealous of the rep California was getting. “Hold my Starbucks,” Governor Jay Inslee said. “I’ll match your COVID-spreading doctors in hospitals, and raise you a snowplow.”
So he did. First, WA hospitals matched CA hospitals. But then…
Washington State has been covered in unusual amounts of snow this winter, even the lowlands got hit hard. Washington DOT is really struggling to keep the roads open, and some might even say Inslee picked the wrong winter to fire the unvaxxed plow drivers. (Not that you could convince him of that.)
Kittitas County offered to help plow the roads. “Hey, DOT, we have plows. You want help?”
“That sounds nice,” said WSDOT. “We really are way behind. But first, you have to fire all your drivers who haven’t gotten a COVID vaxx. We don’t want those dirty scumbags driving on our nice clean, unpassable roads.”
Kittitas County leadership, suffering from a shortage of a-holes, refused to fire their non-vaxxed drivers.
WSDOT leadership, suffering from no such shortage, said, “Fine. You don’t get to help plow the roads then. We’ll get to them when we get to them.”
And so, the state roads of Kittitas County, and much of the rest of the state, remained buried in snow while Jay Inslee looked for drivers his cult would approve of. The people suffered, but on the important points of scientific ignorance and cruelty, Washington nailed it.
“Why didn’t I think of that?” California muttered, as she handed back the Starbucks. Washington just smiled proudly, and adjusted his giant cult hat.
Meanwhile, God up in heaven shook his head…and sent another snowstorm.
